A green Lucky pole barn with a wide door opening, a walk door and windows

Pole barns, from the yard that stocks the whole package.

Shops, garages, hay barns, and equipment storage. We put up your barn within 100 miles of Seymour, or we deliver the package and you build it.

Two ways to get your barn up.

The package is the same either way. The difference is who swings the hammer.

You build it

  • Every pole, purlin, panel, and screw in one order
  • All the trim and hardware to finish it
  • Call our professional sales managers for help when you get stuck

Many independent contractors have built with our kits.

Questions we get at the counter.

How far will you come to build?

We build within 100 miles of Seymour, and we deliver packages within 100 miles too. Call us if you're sitting right on the line.

How long does it take?

A kit is typically ready in about 5 days from your order. For a crew build, call and we’ll tell you where you’d land on the building schedule.

Who builds the barn?

Our build crews are seasoned contractors who work for Lucky Lumber, building our pole barn kits.

How do I pay for a pole barn?

50% down gets you into the building schedule. The other 50% is due when the material is delivered. We don’t run credit accounts.

Do you offer financing?

We don’t offer financing. Customers handle their own, and plenty use a local bank or a farm credit lender.

Do I need concrete or a foundation?

No. The poles go in the ground, so a pole barn needs no floor and no foundation. That's what makes it the cheapest building you can put up. Posts can be set in ground or on a pad.

How much clearance does an overhead door need?

As a rule of thumb, you need at least 24 inches from the bottom of the header to the bottom of the truss, which covers the door and the opener. Measurements change once concrete is in, so call and we'll work it out with you.

What sizes do you build?

We stock material for 23', 30', and 40' widths, in lengths from 24' to 120' and sidewall heights of 10', 12', 14', and 16'. We quote custom sizes regularly, so ask.

Is the building engineered?

Our basic design is engineered to the 2021 International Building Code. For projects in coded counties, we provide professional engineering services (additional fees apply).

What's the warranty?

Painted metal panels carry a limited 40-year paint warranty, which lasts two to three times longer than asphalt shingles.

Workmanship carries a one-year warranty.

Do you pull permits?

No. Permits, concrete, and dirt work are the customer’s to handle. We’ll tell you what the building needs so you can line those up before we show up.
